
School is out, summer meals are in! Galax City Public Schools is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to all children without charge and are the same for all children. Meals must be consumed on site in teh school cafeteria. Meals will be provided on a first come, first serve basis, at the sites and times as follows:

Join us May 26–27 during school hours (8:30 AM–2:45 PM). Open to rising 6th graders and up.
- Important: Completed physical forms must be turned in to the school nurse by May 21 to be scheduled.
Take advantage now—there won’t be another free opportunity! All athletes will need an updated physical to be eligible to play in the 2026-2027 seasons.

Please join us in congratulating Joseph Lopez Rivera! Last night, his artwork was awarded FIRST PLACE in the elementary division of the Virginia School Board Association’s Spring Student Art Contest. Joseph’s entry was selected from artwork submitted from the 14 divisions in the VSBA Southwest Region.
Joseph’s artwork will be displayed in the VSBA office in Charlottesville for the next year. He will also be entered in a statewide competition with first-place winners from across the state.
